2022 Detroit Congenital Heart Walk

Elliott G

Our team is raising funds for congenital heart defect research - join us!
Elliott was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with Absent Pulmonary valve at 25weeks. We were given all the scary statistics that come with this diagnosis, but he has defied every single one of them. He came out screaming, needed no medical intervention, was discharged at 3 days old and has had no hospitalizations since. He is followed by a cardiologist who says he is amazing and shocking each and every time she sees him. We are beyond grateful to be on this side of the statistics, but he will still need surgery to repair his heart before too much longer. Pediatric Cardiovascular surgery has come a long way and we are hoping it advances even further within our lifetime.

Why give? Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the nation, impacting ONE in every 110 babies each year. The Children’s Heart Foundation exists to make sure these babies - and everyone impacted by CHDs - live long and healthy lives. Because of research, today there is greater hope for babies born with, and adults living with, congenital heart defects.

Help us reach our fundraising goal by making a donation today. You can also become a member of our team and join us at the walk!

Thank you in advance for your support!
