Madelyns First Heartiversary!

Team Madelyn

Team Madelyn is raising funds for Congenital Heart Defect research - please join us!

Why donate? Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the nation, impacting ONE in every 100 babies each year. Of those 1% of babies born with a CHD, 25% of the babies will require life saving surgical intervention within the first year of their life to repair their Critical Congenital Heart Defect. Madelyn had 2 Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures while in the NICU, she had 3 Cath’s by her first birthday and 5 Cath’s by her second birthday. Madelyn had her first Open Heart Surgery at 2.5 years old (8/11/2021) for her BiDirectional Glenn 1.5 Ventricle Anatomy. She will require more life saving Open Heart Surgeries and Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures throughout her entire life for her Rare Critical Congenital Heart Defects.

The Children’s Heart Foundation exists to make sure these babies - and everyone impacted by CHDs - live long and healthy lives. Because of research, today there is greater hope for babies born with, and adults living with, congenital heart defects.

Help us reach our fundraising goal by making a donation today. You can also become a member of our team and join us at the walk!

Thank you so much in advance for your support!
