2022 Chicago Congenital Heart Walk

Memories of Mae

Our team, Memories of Mae, is raising funds for congenital heart defect research - please join us!

Mae was a happy, sweet, beautiful little girl.    She was diagnosed with a CHD when she was 9 months old. Because she was otherwise so healthy, Doctors recommended waiting until Mae was older to perform surgery. Mae passed away suddenly weeks before her next followup at 18 months old.  We were devasted.  We are so grateful for the support and love of family, friends and our community for helping us through.

We discovered the heart walk a year after losing Mae.  Our team, Memories of Mae, has given us the opportunity to keep her memory alive and and help fund research that will prevent other families and babies from going through a similar loss.

Why give? Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the nation, impacting ONE in every 110 babies each year. The Children’s Heart Foundation exists to make sure these babies - and everyone impacted by CHDs - live long and healthy lives. Because of research, today there is greater hope for babies born with, and adults living with, congenital heart defects.

Help us reach our fundraising goal by making a donation today. You can also become a member of our team and join us at the walk!

Thank you in advance for your support!
