His Beautiful Heart

After an uneventful pregnancy, our son was born at nearly 8 lbs scoring a 9/9 on the Apgars.  The following day, during the routine check of his vitals, Ethan failed the pulse oximeter test and the pediatrician observed labored breathing.  In the matter of 24 hours, our seemingly healthy boy was diagnosed with a critical congenital heart defect - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.

We have been incredibly blessed as Ethan has successfully undergone the three surgeries for HLHS.  And is living the normal, chaotic and wild life of an 8 year old boy.

Why give? Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect in the nation, impacting ONE in every 110 babies each year. The Children’s Heart Foundation exists to make sure these babies - our baby - and everyone impacted by CHDs - live long and healthy lives. Because of research, today there is greater hope for babies born with, and adults living with, congenital heart defects.

Help us reach our fundraising goal by making a donation today. You can also become a member of our team and join us at the walk!

Thank you in advance for your support!
