Join me in supporting congenital heart defect research!
As heart parents, Jim and I experienced a storm of emotions when our little Jemma was born. She surprised us by coming into the world 6 weeks early. Being parents of a preemie means your extra special. After all, God doesn't just pick anybody to witness a miracle. We are truly blessed to have our little fighter. Then on top of us being blessed with our NICU miracle, Jemma was diagnosed with VSD & ASD, when she was only 3 days old. I will never forget the whirlwind of emotions her father and I experienced when her doctor gave us the news of her heart complications. We can't even explain how it feels to be told your daughter was in congestive heart failure and needed open heart surgery by the age of 6 months. Our little princess was not only our preemie miracle, but also a Heart Warrior. We are extremely proud parents of our fierce fighter. With the help from years of CHD research and wonderful doctors, Jemma had open heart surgery to correct her VSD & ASD on Oct. 26, 2020, when she was 5 months old. She currently still has one residual VSD, but is thriving and flourishing. Jemma is our Hero and is just one of our many examples why CHD research is so near and dear to our hearts. Please help us raise funds to help all those born with CHD.
Raising funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research is not only critically important to all babies born with, and children and adults living with CHDs, it is also personally meaningful to me.
By donating to help me reach my fundraising goal, you’re helping to fund the most promising research into CHDs - America’s most common birth defect.
Together we can make a life-saving difference! Thank you in advance for your support.
❤Jim, Christina and Jemma

It brings out strength in your that you never knew you had, it makes you appreciate the little things in life, it makes you fear that every memory you make together may be your last, and it teaches you that miracles do happen." - Author Unknown
