Join Amyla's Warriors in supporting congenital heart defect research!
Raising funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research is not only critically important to all babies born with, and children and adults living with CHDs, it is also personally meaningful to me.
As most of you may know, my beautiful baby girl Amyla Rose was born with a congenital heart defect. The name of her specific defect was supraventricular tachycardia, which is a rapid heartbeat that develops when the normal electrical impulses of the heart are disrupted. This left myself, her father and my family devasted and heartbroken to say the least.
Following Amyla's diagnosis, at just a tender 11 days old she required open heart surgery, immediately. My strong girl pulled through a warrior! She overcame! I was overjoyed. She became better enough to come home shortly after surgery. Unfortunatly, our baby girl passed away June 24th 2019. Our sweet, gorgeous bundle of joy will forever be missed.
Amyla's moments here on Earth, are worth a lifetime in my heart. We miss our baby girl, and we want to fight the good fight! Please help us raise awareness and join us in the Congenital Heart Walk!
By donating to help me reach my fundraising goal, you’re helping to fund the most promising research into CHDs - America’s most common birth defect.
Together we can make a life-saving difference! Thank you in advance for your support.
