Join me in supporting congenital heart defect research! Everyone that has the miracle of a healthy baby or child recognizes that there are others that lose a child either during a pregnancy or sadly, after birth. Sometimes the precious baby has an undetected birth defect that they cannot survive. That was the case for Baby Sammy, seemingly healthy but only survived four hours due to his congenital heart defect. If you know me you know I have run and bicycled for health causes over the years; diabetes, MS, leukemia, and cancer, being so grateful that I was healthy and could do my part at the events. Now that I am a grandmother and still active, there is no better cause I can think of than saving a newborn or a child's life. (I gave up Netflix to contribute the same monthly amount to St. Jude's instead). So I am walking the Congenital Heart Walk in gratitude for my 4 beautiful granddaughters, and their angel cousin Baby Sammy who was perfect in every way until the defect was fatal. His two younger brothers and his courageous parents will be with me. Even though I have another event in another city in the afternoon, I cannot but walk for this cause. Thank you for donating for my cause and I love you all, Dr. Deb
Raising funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research is not only critically important to all babies born with, and children and adults living with CHDs, it is also personally meaningful to me.
By donating to help me reach my fundraising goal, you’re helping to fund the most promising research into CHDs - America’s most common birth defect.
Together we can make a life-saving difference! Thank you in advance for your support.
