Welcome to Ellie's Pace Makers!
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page in honor of our heart warrior Ellie! Please consider joining us for this fun walk and/or donating to benefit children with congenital heart defects!
Ellie was a 26 week preemie that was born with complete congenital heart block. She spent 73 days in the NICU where she underwent countless procedures and three major surgeries that eventually led to her permanent pacemaker. After 4.5 years, she had her pacemaker replaced in February 2022 and started kindergarten just a few months later!
The Congenital Heart Walk series directly supports the mission of The Children’s Heart Foundation: to fund the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects (CHDs). The 2021 Congenital Heart Walk series will raise critical research funds around 29 cities around the U.S. and via our Nationwide Virtual Walk bringing together thousands of walkers, hundreds of teams and thousands of donors in the fight against CHDs. Come join us for the Walk, family-friendly activities and entertainment, and the chance to strengthen our community. With your help, we are Placing Children at the Heart of Research.
