Join me in supporting congenital heart defect research!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Congenital Heart Walk.
I am raising money for my son, Harrison. He was born with a complex congenital heart defect (CHD) called tricuspid atresia. Harrison is 2 1/2 years old, has had two heart surgeries, and will have a third at the end of August.
His diagnosis is scary, but the outlook is radically different than it would have been even 50 years ago. Children born with conditions like Harrison's were called blue babies. Most did not survive a year, and many never made it out of the hospital.
CHD is the most common form of birth defect throughout the world. More children die due to heart defects each year than all childhood cancers combined.
Raising funds for CHD research is critically important to all Heart Warriors and Heart Angels. Harrison has been given the opportunity to have a life because of research funded by organizations like the Children's Heart Foundation.
Please help us fund CHD research by making a donation to my personal fundraising page. Together we can kick CHD's butt!
