Join me in supporting congenital heart defect research in Honor of Savannah Faith!
Team SavannahFaithStrong thanks you for visiting our fundraising page. Raising funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research is not only critically important to all babies born with, and children and adults living with CHDs, it is also personally meaningful to us.
Together we will continue making a life saving difference in honor of our Heart Warrior, Savannah Faith.
Savannah Faith Nelson was born on March 8, 2017 at 5:56 PM at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. She was 5 pounds 15 ounces and 19 inches long. Savannah was born with Tetralogy Of Fallot which was detected in Utero at 33 weeks. At only 2 days old she went under anesthesia to have a catheter done to have stent placed and at only 2 months old she had her first open heart surgery to repair all 4 things that were wrong with her heart. This little fighter came home only 3 days after this surgery. After being closely monitored by her cardiologist for the next year, it was determined at 14 months old that she would need a second open heart surgery due to oxygen levels dropping into the low 70's from having severe stenosis. Again, 3 days later this trooper came home and was stronger than ever. Despite these setbacks, today we are excited to share that this little sassy, outgoing, sweet, kindhearted little girl is 5 years old!
Savannah is about to be a kindergartener this fall, she loves to sing and dance! She loves to go to Xplore, the park and she is a great big sister to her little sister Gabriella.
Savannah is the most amazing little girl who has overcome so much in her short life so far, we are all so grateful and thankful for all that her doctors and surgeons have done to make sure she can live a happy healthy life!
As Savannah would say " The doctors fixed my heart and gave me Super Gecko Muscles"
