Welcome to Pierce's Pack Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2021 Washington, DC Congenital Heart Walk. Raising funds for CHD research is critically important to all Heart Warriors and Heart Angels, and personally very meaningful to Pierce and his family.
Pierce was born a seemingly healthy baby boy; however, two days following his birth, his pediatrician noticed a heart murmur during a routine visit to the hospital. A cardiology consult revealed that Pierce has Tetralogy of Fallot, a complex condition comprised of four heart defects: pulmonary valve stenosis, ventricular septal defect, overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy.
Pierce would require open heart surgery, and the goal was for him to have the procedure at three to four months of age. Due to the rapid progression of the defect, he underwent open heart surgery at seven weeks of age. His surgery was successful, and ten years later he is a thriving, active young boy.
Please help fund CHD research by making a donation to my personal fundraising page. Together we can make a life-saving difference!
