July 23rd is this year's walk for CHD research by the Children’s Heart Foundation. If you haven’t done so yet, please consider donating to this. My daughter was born with a CHD and had to have surgery at 3 months. They didn’t correct what she was born with, the surgery was only to alleviate some of the pressure caused by a vascular ring. There is still lots of research needed to be done about CHDs. Approximately 1 out of 100 children born are diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect. It is a very scary thing to experience, much more research needs to be done to help those born with them and also to ease the minds and hearts of their loved ones.
