Welcome to Olivia Sanchez's Page
Thank you for visiting Olivia's fundraising page for the Congenital Heart Walk. Raising funds for CHD research is critically important to all Heart Warriors and Heart Angels, and personally very meaningful to me.
Please help us to fund CHD research by making a donation to my personal fundraising page. Together we can make a life-saving difference!
Olivia Alejandra Sanchez, was born on November 2, 2018 at the Children's Hospital of San Antonio (Santa Rosa) with a Congenital Heart Defect condition called Pulmonary Atresia, Double outlet right ventricle, ventricular septal defect with dextrocardia. Olivia had surgery on November 6, 2018 which she had the BT Shunt, within 12 days of recovering from the BT shunt, Olivia developed a clot in her shunt and had to do a Cath Lab surgery. There was a 50/50 chance of making it, but Olivia fought it through. Six months later she had to do the Glenn Procedure, and recovery time was 7 days, while the doctors gave her two weeks. On April 25, 2022, Olivia had the fenestration Fontan Procedure and this surgery took 12 hours since it was a complicated one. While recovery time Olivia's left diaphragm wasn't working as much as the right one, 8 days post op from the Fontan Olivia had to go back and do left sided throacotomy for the diaphragm plication. All went well in surgery and just recovery time is a process. At the moment I am writing and informing this through the hospital but all we can do is wait and PRAY for a speedy recovery for Olivia. This little angel of mine has fought and became stronger and I am proud to be her Mother. Her story hasn't ended yet and is continuing to achieve a lot through every milestone.
By donating, you will help many kids with CHD like Olivia.
