Join me in supporting congenital heart defect research!
Raising funds for congenital heart defect (CHD) research is not only critically important to all babies born with, and children and adults living with CHDs, it is also personally meaningful to me. My daughter, Isabella and my Uncle Michael were both born with Truncus Arteriosus. Isabella has had 2 open heart surgeries to reconfigure her heart and multiple stents placed so her blood flowed properly. She is due to have additional stents placed this summer. I consider my daughter to be lucky. Lucky for being born in a time of medical advancement and research. Research that is funded by people like you. My uncle was not so lucky. He was not born in the right time period. They could not fix is heart. Although he spent a large majority of his life in and out of the hospital, he lived a full life but ultimately his heart and lungs could not keep up and he passed away at 22 in 1980. We walk for my daughter so she can continue on her journey in this life. She is strong, brave, fierce and heart warrior through and through. We also walk for all of the heart warriors who lost this battle.
By donating to help me reach my fundraising goal, you’re helping to fund the most promising research into CHDs - America’s most common birth defect.
Together we can make a life-saving difference! Thank you in advance for your support.
