Philadelphia Congenital Heart Walk

The Ellie Effect

Promoting awareness and raising funds for congenital heart defects has become so important to Karl and I. We had never heard of CHD or Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome before Ellie's diagnosis; now our every day is a reminder of these terrible conditions. We hope that one day CHD can be defeated and we want to do our part by supporting The Children’s Heart Foundation and their mission. Please support The Ellie Effect team, join us for the Philadelphia Congenital Heart Walk 2020, or both!

Congenital heart defects are the most commonly occurring birth defect - affecting approximately 1 in 110 babies born, or a child born every 15 minutes - and are the leading cause of birth-defect related mortality. Funded research is making a very big difference in the lives of CHD patients, helping to reduce incidences and increase survival, longevity and quality of life. Every dollar in support of The Children’s Heart Foundation helps to further their mission: to fund the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects.
