Stein Family: Bravely Skippin' to Her Own Beat
Congenital heart defects are America’s most common birth defect, affecting nearly 40,000 babies each year in the U.S alone. (This equates to 1 child every 15 minutes). About 1 in every 1,859 babies born in the United States each year are born with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). Our family was impacted by this first hand in 2019 when my adorable niece was born and diagnosed with an ASD. Thank GD we are the lucky ones. Our niece has an amazing prognosis and will lead a full life. This September, our family will join the Congenital Heart Walk in her honor, as well as to honor and in memory of all the brave little heart warriors out there and to raise funds for the Children's Heart Foundation, the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding (CHD) research.
