In Memory of My Fighting Felix
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Congenital Heart Walk.
My Fighting Felix was born on March 26, 2017 5 weeks ealier than we expected at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He was born with tricuspid atresia, a congential heart defect where his left ventrical did not develop properly, as well as other heart defects. His fight began the moment he was born. He had his first breathing tube at 2 weeks old, his first open heart surgery at 1 month old, his second open heart surgery at 3 months old, his first cardiac arrest at 5 months then placed on life support for a week, had a pacemaker 6 placed at months old, feeding tube placed into his stomach at 8 months old. He spent the first 9 months of his life in the hospital, and was back and forth with stays at the hospital and home for months after that. At such a young, fragile age, Felix endured so many trials and tribulations, but he always let his light shine through. He showed us his love through his big brown eyes and his contagious smile and was an inspiration to us all.
On February 15. 2019, at 22 months, Felix lost his battle to CHD due to complications after contracting a stomach virus. Even though he may be gone, I do my best to continue his fight and bring CHD awareness everywhere I go. I am dedicated my life to make sure CHD gets the attention it needs. Raising funds for CHD research is critically important to all Heart Warriors and Heart Angels, and personally very meaningful to me.
Please help us to fund CHD research by making a donation to my personal fundraising page. Together we can make a life-saving difference!
